About Arizona Roofers
Who are Arizona Roofers?
Arizona Roofers (Arizona Roofers LLC) is a licensed, bonded and insured roofing contractor headquartered in Phoenix, serving homeowners, HOAs and commercial property owners across Arizona. We repair, replace and install tile, shingle, flat, foam and metal roofs, hold Arizona Registrar of Contractors licenses ROC#356304 and ROC#356639, and are a GAF Master Elite® certified contractor — a designation GAF reserves for roughly the top 2% of roofing contractors. In 2026, GAF also named Arizona Roofers a President’s Club Residential Award winner.
Most of our work is on the roofs Arizona actually has: concrete and clay tile over aging underlayment, sun-baked asphalt shingle, and low-slope foam and modified-bitumen roofs on homes and commercial buildings. Our crews work across the Phoenix metro, Tucson and Pima County, and Northern Arizona, and we answer the phone 24 hours a day — because monsoon damage does not wait for business hours.
As a team of local Phoenix roofers and a statewide Arizona roofing company, we handle everything from roof repair in Phoenix to industrial roofing projects. Comparing contractors? Desert roofing, explained
Why Arizona Roofs Fail Differently
A roof in Phoenix does not wear out the way a roof in Ohio does. Knowing the difference is what keeps you from paying for a replacement you do not need.
- 50+ yrsTypical life of concrete & clay tile
- 20–25 yrsTypical life of the underlayment beneath it
- Jun 15 – Sep 30Arizona monsoon season
- 7,000 ftFlagstaff — snow load & freeze-thaw
The tile is fine — the underlayment isn’t
Concrete and clay tile can last 50 years or more, but the underlayment beneath it typically gives out after roughly 20–25 years of desert heat. That is why so many Valley roofs leak while the tile still looks perfect — and why the fix is often a tile underlayment replacement that reuses your existing tile, not a whole new roof.
Monsoon season: June 15 – September 30
Arizona’s monsoon brings sudden high winds, microbursts and hail that lift shingles, crack and slide tile, and drive rain under flashing. Get damage photographed and documented quickly — our guide to wind damage insurance claims explains what adjusters look for.
UV and heat age shingles and coatings fast
Roof surfaces in the Valley regularly run far hotter than the air temperature in summer. Asphalt shingles dry out and lose granules, and flat-roof coatings chalk and thin, so foam roofs need periodic recoating to stay watertight. Reflective materials and proper attic ventilation pay for themselves here.
Flagstaff is a different climate entirely
At 7,000 feet, Northern Arizona roofs face snow load, freeze-thaw cycles and ice — problems a Phoenix roof never sees. Our Flagstaff roofing work is specified for mountain weather, not desert heat.

Arizona Roofing Questions, Answered
The questions we hear most from Arizona homeowners.
Is Arizona Roofers a licensed roofing contractor?
Yes. Arizona Roofers LLC holds Arizona Registrar of Contractors licenses ROC#356304 and ROC#356639, and is bonded, insured and GAF Master Elite certified. You can verify any Arizona contractor’s license and complaint history for free at roc.az.gov before you sign a contract.
What areas of Arizona do you serve?
We serve 28 Arizona communities: Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Ahwatukee, Fountain Hills, Cave Creek, Anthem, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, Glendale, Peoria, Surprise, Goodyear, Avondale, El Mirage, Buckeye, Sun City, Tucson, Marana, Casas Adobes, Green Valley, Flagstaff, Prescott and Prescott Valley. Our headquarters is at 4836 E McDowell Rd in Phoenix.
How long does a roof last in Arizona?
Concrete and clay tile can last 50 years or more, but the underlayment beneath it typically needs replacing after about 20–25 years in Arizona heat. Asphalt shingles usually last around 15–25 years here, and foam roofs need periodic recoating to stay watertight. An inspection tells you which part of your roof is actually wearing out.
Do you offer free roof inspections?
Yes. A roofer inspects your roof in person, photographs any damage, and gives you a written recommendation — repair, underlayment replacement or full replacement — at no cost and with no obligation. Call (480) 463-3483 or use the form at the top of this page.
Do you do emergency roof repairs?
Yes. Arizona Roofers is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. During monsoon season (June 15 – September 30) we prioritize active leaks and storm damage, tarp and secure the roof the same day where possible, and document the damage for your insurance claim.
Should I repair or replace my roof?
If the damage is localized and the underlayment is still sound, a repair is usually the right call. If leaks keep returning, the underlayment is brittle across the roof, or the roof is near the end of its expected life, replacement is often cheaper over time. On tile roofs, a lift-and-relay with new underlayment can reuse your existing tile.
Will homeowners insurance pay for my roof?
Insurance typically covers sudden damage such as wind, hail or a fallen tree, not wear and tear or aging underlayment. We document storm damage with photos, meet your adjuster on the roof, and help make sure the approved scope matches the damage that is actually there.
